Kris Allen is the Newest American Idol!

American Idol Season 8 has just ended and it put Kris Allen on the throne as winner. Congratulations to Allen, one of the crowd's favorites this season. He deserves the win. I hope he makes it big in the industry soon. We all know this is just the start of his journey to the real world that is Hollywood.

While Adam Lambert was theatrical, Kris was refreshing. I think that was one of the factors that gave the latter an advantage over the former. Good luck on your music career, Kris Allen!

Joana Pacitti is No Longer Part of American Idol Top 36 Official List

Yes, that's right. She was recently booted out from the contest because she was "ineligible to continue." No exact reason was provided by the American Idol Management, though. She was replaced immediately by Felicia Barton, a married mom from Philadelphia. People are speculating that the reason for the disqualification of Pacitti is that she is already a polished artist, having released an album in 2006 under Geffen Records that sold around 16,000 copies. Pacitti has not yet commented on the issue at the moment.



If the reports were true, then there's no point to appeal the disqualification of Pacitti. American Idol, as we all know, looks for raw talents to polish and not the other way around. :)
