Yes, that's right. She was recently booted out from the contest because she was "ineligible to continue." No exact reason was provided by the American Idol Management, though. She was replaced immediately by Felicia Barton, a married mom from Philadelphia. People are speculating that the reason for the disqualification of Pacitti is that she is already a polished artist, having released an album in 2006 under Geffen Records that sold around 16,000 copies. Pacitti has not yet commented on the issue at the moment.
If the reports were true, then there's no point to appeal the disqualification of Pacitti. American Idol, as we all know, looks for raw talents to polish and not the other way around. :)
