Before returning to Manila from her first official travel for 2009, President Arroyo attended the 57th National Prayer Breakfast upon invitation by the US House of Congress.The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held in Washington, D.C. every first Thursday of February. This year, US President Barack Obama is one of the guest speakers.
There were reports that PGMA wanted to meet Obama at the event but I found out later on through the news that she wasn't able to talk to him. What she managed to do is look at him from a distance. Well, better luck next time. I'm sure there are lots of other opportunities in the future where PGMA could talk with Obama face to face.
